How WildRoot Health works

Start your search
On the WildRoot home page you can search three ways: by body system if you know which part of your body is affected, by health condition if you have a specific diagnosis, or by treatment type if you already know the kind of practitioner you want to see.
Not sure where to start? Describe what you're dealing with in plain language and let the search figure out the rest. WildRoot maps common symptoms to the body systems, conditions, and modalities that treat them.
Narrow down with filters
Once you see a list of practitioners, use Refine to narrow by location, distance, availability and specialty. Payment and insurance are taken into account when ordering results rather than used to hide practitioners, so you won't lose a good match because we don't have their insurance details on file.
If you're new to alternative healthcare, try the First visit / new to alternative care filter. It surfaces practitioners who are used to onboarding patients without jargon.
Read the profile
Practitioner profiles show what we have for that practice — typically a bio, the conditions they commonly treat, education and credentials, and pricing for common visits where it is listed. Patient reviews appear on profiles that have them.
Look for a bio that matches your situation — a practitioner who explicitly describes helping people with your concern is a much better signal than one who lists it generically. Pricing is listed up-front so you can plan.
Check your payment options
Before booking, use the Payment Navigator on the profile page. It tells you whether the service is HSA/FSA-eligible, whether you need a Letter of Medical Necessity, and what typical out-of-pocket cost looks like based on the practitioner's listed fees.
For full HSA/FSA rules, see our HSA/FSA eligibility guide. If you have insurance, always confirm coverage directly with your plan before booking.
Book or inquire
If the practitioner offers online scheduling, click Book online and you'll be taken to their scheduling system. Otherwise, click Send an inquiry to tell them what you're looking for — WildRoot forwards the message on your behalf and you'll get an email when they respond.
All inquiries are tracked on your account page once you sign in. You'll also receive email confirmations and status updates as the practitioner responds.
Prepare for your first visit
Most first visits are 45-60 minutes — longer than follow-ups because the practitioner builds a detailed health history. Fill out any intake forms they send you, bring a list of current medications, and write down your questions in advance.
Arrive ten minutes early for any new-patient paperwork. For acupuncture, wear loose clothing that rolls above the knees and elbows; for chiropractic or physical therapy, clothes you can move in.
Leave a review
After your visit, share what you experienced. Helpful reviews mention your specific health concern, what the practitioner did, and what changed — other patients looking for someone like you will find your review invaluable.
You can leave reviews from your inquiry tracking page or directly on the practitioner's profile once you've had an appointment.
